Throw That Dam Banister Ball

Little Brown Jug
Whoop de do
A win for us and
A loss for you.

Yes folks, this is the ditty one hears in Minnesota today, tonight, tomorrow. And sadly it is probably true.

Unless the Michigan team learns to spread and respond to thuggish shouting; it seems unlikely that any more victories will come to the town of Two Anns this year. Haunted loses track. Have there been any at all? Well, certainly non worth mentioning....oh yea, Wisconsin...never mind...

And more to the point, this season has been so dismal, so bad, so demeaning and tragic, that even a win against Ohio State two weeks from now will not be enough to even raise a shout. Hell, this program is right in step with the USA, and Ann Arbor has no minor league Obama to save its football team.

Had Roxbury made it, perhaps. But he did not, and he may not be making it next year either. Disgusted with the Coach, the mentor turned moron, plagued by Jenny Swindle and wooed by greater programs. It is going to be a tough sell to get him to show up ever. Still, Ann Arbor can hope... perhaps we can tell him a fib.. Rodriguez is history. There will be a new coach and, well forget about it, Gomer Pyle would be better, just tell him Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, The Wolverine... anything. Sarah Palin.

Still, we can all hum Little Brown Jug... and think of Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed and some future Wonderful Life. Hell if Haunted had it, he would toss that dam banister ball of Jimmy Stewart's as far as he could throw it, which isn't very far.

Michigan 10
Minnesota 35
